Education video this midweeks meeting
by jehovaxx inthere is an item this week all about yang ones leaving school.. the two brothers go to a career advisor seminar.
one brother thinks it’s good to work hard full time while you are young and tries to encourage his friend to as well.. his friend (who is the good jw trust the gb no matter what they say)) he wants a part time job.. the video shows him dreaming about investing his money on his phone and the chart goes up, he drives a nice car and seems to be doing well financially.. then he reads the scripture in proverbs and next you see that investment chart go down in the red and he is so pleased he just got a low paid part time job.. this infuriates me.
how many of us are now struggling because we were told to get menial part time jobs and we were told the end would have been here by now.. i will never tell a young person to listen to the gb advice on this.

- romans 10: 9. i find it interesting that this simple requirement for salvation has been a specific target of wt since their beginning.. first, jw's call jehovah lord, not jesus.
the fact that scripture calls jesus the king of kings and lord of lords doesn't seem to matter to them.

@Vidqun,Yes, that all sounds about right. Here's a good discussion on the topic. The thing a person wants to look out for is Replacement Theology, which is the view that believers completely replaced Israel. Jewish believers remain in the tree but are joined with Gentiles and “made” into a “new body,” ("one new man") the Church (Ephesians 2:11–22).
Gentile Christians are not the trunk, we are the branches that are grafted in. The nation of Israel will be the premiere nation on earth some day with Jesus as King. It will no longer be a byword and an object of laughter among the nations.
The tree or righteousness (belief and trust in God) that God planted in Abraham will come into full bloom during the 1K yr. reign of Jesus.

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

Halcon, this is a reference to the abandonment of oneself that is required for salvation..."a living sacrifice". It is a reference to the dethroning of self and the enthronement of Jesus as Lord.
And of course before we could logically put someone on the throne of our life, we need to make sure they are really legit. That's what the resurrection is for. Before the cross, Jesus predicted that he would resurrect himself from the dead, while he was dead.So, if you are good with a man who resurrected himself from the dead being the Lord of your life, that's about all there is to getting saved. Living the Christian life is a 3 step process though.
1. Justification2. Sanctification

by NotFormer inmemory from long ago: my old mate from high school lived next door to a jw and was often "treated" to the latest jw literature.
when the "you can live forever in paradise on earth"* book came out, this neighbour waxed lyrical about how good this book was and how powerful the message was.
he acted really keen about it, like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
